| | making one last musical visit to germany before half term, the | |
| | featured artistes in today's programme were max loderbauer and | |
| | tom thiel who, under executive producer thomas fehlmann, write | |
| | ambient/techno music under the name sun electric. today's show | |
| | traced the duo's history starting with their very first single | |
| | "o'locco" which is typical of their sometimes quirky sometimes | |
| | very beautiful style; the tune was first released on the orb's | |
| | w.a.u. mr modo record label but was soon licensed to r&s where | |
| | the band remained for the rest of the 90's, releasing first on | |
| | r&s itself and later on the ambient sublabel, apollo. i played | |
| | a range of tracks taken from sun electric's albums and singles | |
| | from 1993 through to 1998 in today's show - plus a bonus track | |
| | called "alzir" taken from the limited 3cd edition of the fifth | |
| | r&s "in order to dance" compilation album - before closing the | |
| | programme with my favourite song by sun electric: the divinely | |
| | beautiful album version of "o'locco". the official website for | |
