| | today's programme covered one of the biggest acts to appear on | |
| | a megadog stage - top u.k. techno twosome orbital. the duo has | |
| | previously been featured in accelerator 006, in my a-z of rave | |
| | series and in my shows about the internal record label back in | |
| | november 2000 so (hopefully) they need no further introduction | |
| | ...cos you're not gonna get one! i started the show with three | |
| | tunes from orbital's early years: frank de wulf's remix of the | |
| | classic 'kinetic' by the golden girls (a collaboration between | |
| | paul hartnoll of orbital and mike hazell), big name D&B deejay | |
| | ray keith's remix of orbital anthem 'chime' and the band's mix | |
| | of 'mindstream' by meat beat manifesto (which later went on to | |
| | become orbital's own song 'remind'). the remainder of the show | |
| | highlighted some of the group's more recent releases and these | |
| | included their remix of electronic music pioneers kraftwerk, a | |
| | track cowritten by movie soundtrack maestro angelo badalamenti | |
| | and orbital's tribute to the stylophone! next week's programme | |
| | will feature another range of bands who performed at megadogs. | |
