| | this year i'm taking an alphabetical look at early 1990's rave | |
| | music: old skool hardcore and jungle plus cheesy top-40 dance! | |

| | the first show of 2001 started with the compact "q" section of | |
| | my a-z of rave, beginning with the flip to q-project's classic | |
| | jungle anthem 'champion sound'. next up was a track from q-tex | |
| | (a side-project of deejay/producer scott brown) whose releases | |
| | over the past nine years have included happy hardcore, trance, | |
| | charty dance and even gabba! quadrophonia followed with a pair | |
| | of early continental tunes from them before quench rounded off | |
| | the q's with a classic dance tune from even further away (from | |
| | australia i believe)! r.a.f. started the "r" section, followed | |
| | by a pretty vocal/piano hardcore track from ramos and co, then | |
| | an equally gorgeous jungle tune from dj rap and finally ragga- | |
| | breakbeat from rebel m.c. before dj red alert and mike slammer | |
| | finished up the show with 'don't need your love' - just one of | |
| | many of their huge breakbeat hardcore tunes on slammin' vinyl. | |
